Huntsville Art League Receives A Grant

March 21, 2013

A great evening for Huntsville Art League. Last evening the Huntsville City presented art grants through the Arts Council. I was thrilled and honored as President of the league to accept the grant on behalf of the Huntsville Art League. We have developed an art program, SmART to work with autistic children in the Huntsville schools. Tracey Chaplin, Executive Director of Huntsville Art League designed the program and wrote the grant. Thanks Tracey!

This is the first grant the city has given to support art in the city. Mayor Tommy Battle was there to assist in the presentation. Thanks to the city of Huntsville and the Arts Council for your support.

Free Up Class started

March 19, 2013

My Free Up Class started tonight with 7 talented students.

This is a great opportunity to get the art juices flowing again and get involved with others about painting.

Below are two quick napkin drawings I did after class… What is it. Who knows? OK, it is a baseball field in just a very few lines.

The idea behind the napkin drawings is to work without much thought. Just an exercise to get ink to paper.

The Village of Providence

March 13, 2013

The Village Salon has an open house and Peter’s art was selected to hang at the salon.

I was again thrilled and honor to display my work in such a lovely environment as the Village of Providence. Check it out at the salon on Providence Main Street.

Bull and Bear

March 12, 2013

This is a commission piece I did for a financial advisor. Unfortunately, he doesn’t like the color … He wants less color. Hmmmm, how does an artist who paints with color paint less color. Well that is the mission. Wish me luck.
