Adding blues and eliminating slashes of color makes me feel more comfortable about this painting.

This painting just could not stand the test of time. I have been studying it for several months and looking at ways I would like to change it. Not sure what is needed changing, but thought something had to be different. Even for me I thought the painting was to busy and it lost some of its strength. My color is all about being bold… and somehow this has just too much conflict to show the horses properly.
I now know what I want to change. The background and foreground are just to active (it conflicts). Hopefully, the changes will strengthen the painting and pull the conflict out!
This is the start:
My son, Josh has started writing a blog of his travel and experiences with his dance company, Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo.
In his first writings you learn about his “Six Nights in Monaco” and visiting the beautiful city. But get ready, he meets Princess Caroline and dines with the House of Chanel artistic designer, Karl Lagerfeld.
Most exciting is the Trocks were a huge success. But, I will let Josh tell you about the tour from his extremely well written blog.
You can find a link over on my blogroll.

For unto you is born this day… a savior. Luke 2:11
What a wonderful day… Some of my favorite paintings sold today. the commission work: “San Francisco Assisi Golden, New Mexico” sold.
And then both “Holy Spirit Garden No.2″ and Holy Spirit Flowers” sold.
Then there was a surprise! “The drink” sold too. See the paintings below. I love them all. The lady who purchased the two flower paintings is going to give the book, “The Shack” as a gift with the paintings. I think this is a wonderful idea. I loved the book… it one book that should be read and reread. The Arthor has a great understanding and he too is learning as he goes through life. Just like all of us. Here are the paintings:
Sell a sailboat painting tomorrow and I will be a happy camper 😉
Worked into the late hours and I am pleased with the progress. Need more time to work, but I am excited about the simple designs of this painting with the colors expressing the feelings of the southwest and all of God’s creations.
The 1830’s San Francisco Church in Golden is one of the most photographic sites along the Turquoise Trail. Golden is very much a ghost town now… however people are moving back to the area.
I hope I can continue the successful progress of this painting “San Francisco de Assisi” in Golden, New Mexico.
This is a perfect Christmas gift. Merry Christmas!
