Pauli's Abstract

"Summer of 1972 Revisited"

See this painting at Pauli’s.. a wonderful place to eat on the edge of Madison just off Slaughter Road.

This painting reminds me of my paintings done in 1972. Many of my friends see a Bull Fighter and of course the Bull. Go to pauli’s and enjoy great food and this painting.

Nadia said, "Grand Daddy will think my necklace is beautiful"

Just had to share this photo with everyone… Nadia is going to have a baby brother in the next two weeks! She is excited, but today she wanted to show off her necklace and she told her Mama that Grand Daddy would love her necklace… and I do!

I Need to get back to painting but the feeling in the fingers is still not there so it is a bit harder to get motivated. A lot of ideas are rushing through my head so we are not to far off.

The second Anniversary of the passing of Bill Youkey a great american and great friend.

I was thinking of words to say, but Carol (Bill’s Wife) says it best with the following:

Bill’s memory remains so alive to me, not just because of the anniversary,
but other triggers: football season, upcoming holidays (particularly
Halloween), nice cooler weather in which to play golf or ride in a
convertible, and the Ark Telethon. Saying he is missed is an understatement
but words can’t really get there.

You may access his memorial site, by the link below .

Please feel free to post something in the Memory Book or Journal, if you’d like.

Back to the Flower Garden

Holy Spirit Garden II is part of a new series Im working.
Holy Spirit Garden II is part of a new series I’m working.

I thought I would work on a series of flower paintings.  All about 16″X16″ square.

I enjoy working on a square canvas.  What this painting and see if it changes much.  I had much of the background blue, but I feel a little better about the work now that I have introduced color to the background.
I hope this one will jus pop once I finish it.  A true expression of color in the garden.

A New Leash on Life, A non-profit, corporation making the world a better place for homeless pets and the people who love them had their fun raiser, Wine & Dandy Benefit at the Chef’s Table in June.  Sorry for the late notice, but have been in recovery mode.

I donated a giclee to support the silent auction.  It was exciting to see the giclee go for such a high value since it is a great cause.  New Leash is building a sanctuary for the homeless and helpless animals in Huntsville and surrounding areas, and you still can donate to the cause.
