Dos Amigos is a painting I worked on sometime ago and thought it needed to be refreshed so through the last couple of months I worked with this painting. Not sure it is where I want it to be but for now I am satisfied.

This has been a slow process, but progress has been made. One of the exercises to strengthen my fingers has been to place beans or peas in a bowl and take one out at a time. This reteaches the hand and eye coordination. It has been successful!
I hope to be able to start work on larger paintings soon. This “Holy Spirit Flowers” painting is 16″ X16″ Enjoy!
This past week my best friend’s sister-in-law went to UAB medical for what we believe is inoperable Liver Cancer. During the weekend a new doctor has given us a little encouragement and as Andy says just keep praying. So we need your support in praying for Melinda Perez.
I was able to work a little on the Holy Spirit Flowers and liked its improvement. Can’t work for very long, but the fingers did not fail me and so I was pleased with it’s progress. Hands are doing better everyday.
here is a photo from the garden and one of the painting:
Still very difficult to hold a brush, but I’m happy to be able to paint. The control is not there but the desire to paint is taking over.
I have done a few changes to the Holy Spirit Flowers and thought I would share the painting. Still much to do but I do like the changes.
I thought I might make the effort to try some flowers. My hands still cant handle even the detail I would like, but I can try a few new ideas.
I am teaching a “Free-Up” class and we are trying new things. So here is a photo of the garden and a start at a painting I’m doing in the class I’m teaching. BTW, if you want to take one of my classes contact Huntsville Art League for date and times. Hopefully, it is a new way of teaching and the class will let you express yourself!
Please enjoy the Holy Spirit Flowers from my garden. IF you have not read the book, “The Shack” you need to get a copy!
